At Cross Bridge Learning Center, our mission is to provide a nurturing, Christ-centered environment where children are loved, encouraged, and equipped to grow spiritually, academically, socially, emotionally and physically. Through exceptional early childhood education, meaningful partnerships with families, and a commitment to reflecting the love of Jesus, we strive to develop compassionate leaders and inspire every child to discover their God-given purpose while shining His light in our community.

At Cross Bridge Learning Center, we are proud of the education, experience, and continued professional growth of our teaching team. Our staff includes 11 educators with college degrees, including 5 associate degrees, 4 bachelor’s degrees, and 2 master’s degrees, with 3 additional team members currently working toward their bachelor’s degrees.

Our educators also hold a variety of early childhood credentials and specialized training, including National CDA credentials, Florida Staff and Director Credentials, Conscious Discipline training, Teachstone CLASS training, the UF Emergent Literacy Micro-Credential, and Food Safety Certification.

Just as important as education is creating a safe and healthy environment for every child in our care. All of our teachers are trained in Safe Sleep practices, Bloodborne Pathogens, Child Safety and Prevention, and First Aid and CPR. In addition, all staff members complete a Level 2 background screening.

Learning does not stop once our teachers enter the classroom. Every teacher completes a minimum of 10 hours of continuing education each year, allowing our team to stay current on early childhood practices, child development, health and safety, and strategies for supporting the children in their care.

At Cross Bridge Learning Center, we believe great teachers never stop learning. Through continued education, professional development, and ongoing safety training, our team is prepared to provide children with a safe, nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment where they can learn, grow, and thrive.

Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) is a free, high-quality education program designed to prepare Florida’s 4-year-olds for kindergarten and build a foundation for their educational success. Our VPK program focuses on delivering age-appropriate curricula that includes early literacy and math standards as well as principles of our Christian faith. With 3 classes we can provide smaller class sizes and a nurturing environment that supports both intellectual and character development while preparing children for kindergarten in a faith-centered setting.

Our VPK program runs Monday through Friday from 9am-12pm. This program is free of charge. For an additional cost, VPK wraparound care is also provided from 6:30 am – 6pm.

At Cross Bridge Learning Center, our Christian values and Bible lessons are thoughtfully woven into each classroom's weekly lesson plans. All of our students, from one year old through VPK, participate in a weekly chapel experience that incorporates age-appropriate worship through music, Bible stories, and engaging activities.

We are a play-based learning center serving children from 3 months through VPK in our 10 classrooms. Each classroom is thoughtfully designed with age-appropriate learning centers that encourage children to explore, create, discover, and learn through play.

Our curriculum is built around Wee Learn, a Christian Florida Early Learning Coalition-approved curriculum, and is designed to support children's development across all areas of learning while providing meaningful, hands-on experiences. We believe children learn best when they are actively engaged, curious, and having fun!

In addition to our daily classroom experiences, our students also enjoy special presentations and learning opportunities provided by friends and partners in our community.

At our weekly chapel services, we introduce young children to the foundations of faith, beginning with our one-year-olds. Utilizing the Simply Loved Curriculum, we provide Bible stories, songs, and simple prayers tailored to be engaging and understandable for toddlers and preschoolers. This early exposure to faith helps build a strong spiritual foundation that will support their growth in later years.

Additionally, our toddlers and preschoolers have the opportunity to participate in special Christmas and Spring programs during our Sunday morning services, offering them a meaningful way to share their faith and engage with the church community.
